A Fast-Track to World War III, or a New System for the World?

Two futures lie simultaneously before the world: The one ends in nuclear war, the logical and fast-approaching destination toward which psychotic geopolitical confrontation with Russia and China is carrying us; the other is a new paradigm of development, a completely new kind of era for mankind, as different from the current world as was the Golden Renaissance from the Dark Ages.

Those two dynamics have been on full display over the past week.

Take maniacal warmongers such as U.S. General Christopher Donahue, Commander of the U.S. Army in Europe and Africa and the head of NATO’s ground forces, who told Defense News that NATO has put in place the Eastern Flank Deterrence Plan, a strategy to quickly neutralize the Kaliningrad region of Russia. “We’ve already planned that and we’ve already developed it. The mass and momentum problem that Russia poses to us … we’ve developed the capability to make sure that we can stop that mass and momentum problem,” he said. The Chairman of the Russia State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky responded sharply, calling the NATO action “a plan to unleash World War III with a transition to a global confrontation where there will be no winners…. An attack on the Kaliningrad region would mean an attack on Russia with all the corresponding countermeasures, including those provided for by the Russian Federation’s nuclear doctrine. The American general must be clearly aware of this when making such statements.”

Pair this blatant provocation with the planned transfer of Patriot Missile systems, from NATO and with President Trump’s blessing, to Ukraine, something which has been named an immediate priority by both BlackRock’s German Chancellor Merz and NATO Supreme Allied Commander General Alexus Grynkewich. This, along with the just concluded mutual defense agreement between the U.K. and Germany and the nuclear coordination agreement between the U.K. and France, which further consolidates the “Coalition for the Killing” under the British Empire umbrella, betrays that decisions have been made for a fast track to World War III.

And what then of the fate of the human species? The Schiller Institute held an extraordinary international conference on July 12-13 to offer an alternative answer to that question. In her keynote address, Helga Zepp-LaRouche declared, “The purpose of our conference is to show a way out of this impasse. We must put a new global security and development architecture on the agenda in good time; one that takes into account the security and economic interests of all states on this planet. And this is absolutely possible, because the geopolitical view that one absolutely needs an enemy has long since found an alternative. The attempt to establish a unipolar world order has suffered a major setback for some time now, because after 500 years of colonialism, the nations of the Global South were by no means prepared to submit to a unipolar world order….

“Only by realizing such a new paradigm in international relations can we escape the consequences of the far-reaching collapse of international law and international relations, which has resulted from the toleration of genocide in Gaza and the recent attacks on Iran; namely, a general descent into anarchy.”
