Former U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz, President Trump’s first nominee for Attorney General, used his platform on One America News, with 1.3 million subscribers to both expose the Israeli regime’s “secret nuclear weapons program” and to sharply denounce plans for regime-change in Iran.
Gaetz: “If the world is interested in a secret nuclear weapons program in the Middle East, there is a country that won’t allow any international inspectors—Israel.” He says, “I don’t blame them for developing nuclear weapons … but to drag the world into a regime-change war over secret nuclear weapons, when you have secret nuclear weapons, is a bit hypocritical.”
He then proposes that Iran and Israel both give up their secret nuclear weapons programs, and that the Nobel Peace Prize could be renamed after Trump, if he secured that deal. He then compares Israel to South Africa, saying, “I’m not calling Israel an apartheid state, but…” making the point that South Africa got rid of its nuclear weapons just before ending apartheid, and adding that if Judea and Samaria (i.e., the West Bank) are annexed by Israel, the 5-6 million people who live there will have to be allowed to vote, and, in that case, Israel would be like South Africa, in needing to end apartheid.
Gaetz further blasts the hype that we constantly hear preceding regime-change wars in the Middle East, that it will be easy and quick, whereas in the case of Iraq, it resulted in thousands of dead American soldiers. He said the U.S. had no plan for ending the war, which led to the strengthening of China and ISIS, and closed by saying: “I wonder if those people cheerleading for the attack on Iran know anything about the country they want to topple.”
