Part 1 of 8 - An existential threat looms over us, and how to prevent it playing out.

 Our Way of Life

This is a love story.  It’s about my love for New Zealand, our people, and our way of life; a way of life so different to Islam’s, that I do not want Muslims to be given the chance to bring, and then impose, their way of life here.  

I am proud to be ‘kiwi’ and cannot conceive that we permit a people whose way of life is incompatible to ours, to come here, use our political freedoms, and think they are doing good by cancelling our culture, banning our beliefs, prohibiting our human rights, disbarring our judicial system, disallowing our democracy, forbidding our freedom of speech and freedom of association, and so much more.

We who are free, do not want to become slaves; to their God, ‘Allah’.

We ‘New Zealanders’ are a laid-back people, and this applies, also, to our expression of faith. We are not blatantly ‘in-your-face’ obvious about what religious beliefs we hold and prefer that people of faith profess this only in church, or within their own group of people.

For us, denomination doesn’t matter, and very few reveal zealous commitment to mid-weekly bible study sessions and Church attendance every Sabbath Day.

So, try to image a life where it is mandatory to lay prostate in prayer to Allah five times a day, every day, for the rest of your life?

Yet that is just one of the aspects of Islam, that Muslims devoutly adhere to; and will do all they can to ensure the rest of us do too. 

So, why do we continue to call Islam merely a religion, when it is so very much more than this?  When it is clearly, a total way of life?

I will introduce Islam, bit by bit, over the next seven articles in this series.

Islam’s Qur’an is the literal word of the one true God, Allah.                                                                            

Its adherents are called Muslims, and they are required to be servants of Allah.

But, it is not just about a belief in Allah, and obedience to his will; it comes as a ‘total package deal’, with its own political system, its own judicial system, its own set of religious laws (Sharia), its own values, educational practices, and so much more; many of which do not support our fundamental Human Rights.

Muslims, as servants of Allah; are required by their Qur’an, Sunnah and Sharia, to convert non-Muslims to Islam. They know it is the only way we infidels can be saved from eternal damnation on judgement day.

They must convert we non-believers to the one true faith; to the way of life that is Islam; no other is acceptable.

We might respect them for this; for they are required to do what Christian missionaries did to the ‘tribal primitives’ European explorers came across in the ‘new world’ centuries ago.  We civilised people felt empathy for the newly discovered peoples; and in our arrogance and desire to do good, knew we had to convert them to the one true faith - Christianity.  

Christian missionaries knew the truth, just as Muslims know the truth. And like Muslims, they too were of two main sects, Catholic/Protestant, as opposed to Shia/Sunni.  Strange how, although they all differ in their beliefs, they all know there is only one truth.

However, Islam is so prescriptively intolerant of our western way of life, that its Muslim adherents must replace our way with theirs. Not as an act of evil, rather, as an essential good; as per their understanding of the Qur’an, Sunnah and Sharia.  

It doesn’t do a lot for we non-believers to hear about radicalised extremists, who in devotion to Allah and desire to obey their understanding of Islam’s dictates, don a suicide vest, and gain entry to paradise by blowing-up innocent bystanders (we non-believers).  Of the 38,000 acts of terrorism last year, over 90% were committed by Muslims.

We need to appreciate; just how devout Islam’s adherents are.

And, I’ll say it again, we all need to understand that Islam is not a religion, it is so much more than merely a religion; it is a ‘total way of life,’ and its dictates exacting, like a tribal cult that grew.

In Islam, state and religion are one; they form the apex, from which all else spreads and is subsumed.

The religious component is key; so much so, its Sharia laws are religious laws; and then too, the political, economic, social, environmental, educational, and military components are integral.  No one part can be separate from another. They combine to form a total way of life.  A way that must be complied with; the scriptures of their Qur’an, their Sunnah and Sharia say so.

To Muslims, the Qur’an is the literal word of God; its dictates exacting and must be obeyed.

It is ‘all or nothing’. Sort of like Catholic Christianity was through the early Middle Ages – much to adore, but much to abhor.

As a starter, a Muslim’s allegiance is to Allah; and no other religion is accepted. (Qur’an, 2:256); so, freedom of religion and expression are explicitly forbidden.  It must be Islam.

Back to my love story.

We are a lucky people in a fortunate land. Our climate is mild, and we are distant from many of the problems pressuring our planet’s people otherwise.

Our remoteness protects, or at least delays, the impact of much that stresses the rest. Yet, climate change is here. And like global warming, the admission of Muslim asylum seekers to New Zealand threatens our way of life too.

Like climate change, we can pretend we don’t need to worry about it. But the impact of Islamification compounds and exaggerates as their numbers grow; and grow they do. This small dribble of Muslim asylum seekers and immigrants is not such an obvious problem yet, that we feel the danger.   But this existential threat is looming. We need our government, and opposition MPs, to be considering a strategy for dealing with this; and for obtaining our input.

Currently, they neither discuss the topic, nor do they allow us to.  

I would like you to join me in making them aware how we feel about this issue. We love our way of life and voted for our MPs to support this.

The existential crisis that loomed over England, France, Germany, Sweden and … for three to four decades before exploding, is now ensuring the extinction of a people, a culture and a way of life that was Europe.

Some EU countries did not allow mass migration of Muslims to their lands, so they survive, but porous borders mean these too will succumb.

Douglas Murray’s book “The Strange Death of Europe – Immigration, Identity, Islam,” describes this crisis in detail and looks at causes and consequences.  We need to be forewarned.  We live in the lucky country. We are remote.

His cautionary words, together with many others who have been able to comment without being executed or locked up; along with the escalating number of rapes and murders throughout the European countries that have accepted large numbers of Muslim immigrants, give us time to consider how we might deal with this predicament. Their politicians did not listen to its people, are our MPs going to learn from this?  Are they going to listen to us?

Unfortunately, our government, our media and woke citizens do not allow us to talk about it. 

Like many of the countries of Europe, our government takes the ostrich approach to leadership; and refuses to see, or address, controversial issues; MPs hope they will not see The Strange Death of New Zealand in their time; but our children will, and so too theirs.

Islam is not a religion; it is a total way of life; a way of life that is incompatible with our Western way of life.
