In a meeting with his National Security Council, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the following regarding the 28-point “peace plan” delivered to Ukrainian acting President Zelensky by U.S. Army Secretary Driscoll:
“We have received this text through the existing communication channels with the U.S. administration. I believe it could also serve as a foundation for a final peace settlement. However, it is not being discussed in detail with us. And I can guess why.
“The reason, in my opinion, is the same: The U.S. administration has so far been unable to secure consent from the Ukrainian side, as Ukraine is opposed to it. Apparently, Ukraine and its European allies continue to entertain the illusion that they can inflict a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield.”
The longer Zelensky resists, the worse it will be for the Ukrainian people, and for himself, but his Anglo-European handlers don’t care about that. They want to pretend that Russia is going to march through Europe in order to justify spending billions of euros on weapons that won’t even be produced until a few years from now, in order to try keep the financial bubble from totally imploding, and to prevent the new paradigm typified by the BRICS and the Belt and Road from sweeping the entire globe.
Is the possibility of ending the Ukraine-Russia proxy war the reason why six former military and intelligence warmongers in the U.S. Congress released a 90-second video urging active duty military and intelligence professionals to “disobey unconstitutional orders” from the Trump Administration? None of the six themselves refused to participate in illegal wars of aggression against Iraq. They are also sitting members of the U.S. House and Senate—i.e., “lawmakers” whose responsibility it is to see that the Constitution is upheld and that our military is not illegally deployed. What are they doing about that?
While lashing out against these “seditious Democrats” in a rageful post on Truth Social, President Donald Trump nonetheless agreed to meet with the Socialist Democrat Mayor-Elect of New York City Zohran Mamdani on Friday, Nov. 21, at Mamdani’s request.
The meeting proved to be a success, followed by a joint press conference which President Trump opened by stating that they had just had a “great meeting” and that they both wanted “the City we love to do very well.”
President Trump said that they agreed on the need for affordable housing, which Mamdani wants to build a lot of, and that they agreed on making the city safe. The Mayor-Elect said, when asked more explicitly about Israel, that he appreciated “all efforts for peace.”
President Trump was clearly having a great time and enjoyed the consternation of the press corps, who mostly tried to ask snarky provocative questions, which were handled very well by the duo. One such exchange went as follows:
Q: Stephen Nelson from the New York Post. I’ve got a question for you.… You’ve referred to Mr. Mamdani as a communist. Could you describe why you feel that way? And also, will you do anything to stop him from arresting Prime Minister Netanyahu if he visits New York?
President Trump: Well, we didn’t discuss your second part of the question. And on your first part, I mean, he’s got views that are a little out there, but who knows? I mean, we’re going to see what works or he’s going to change also. We all change. I changed a lot. Changed a lot from when I first came to office. It’s now quite a while ago. It’s quite a while. My first term was great. We had the greatest economy in the history of our country. We’re doing even better now. We’re doing much better now than we did even the first term. And I can tell you some of my views have changed and we had discussions on some things. I’m not going to discuss what they were, but that I feel very confident that he can do a very good job. I think, I think he’s going to be, I think he is going to surprise some conservative people actually, and some very liberal people. He won’t surprise them because they already like him.”
The Times of Israel was not amused, and ran an article headlined, “Mamdani Accuses U.S. of Funding Israeli Genocide During Warm Meeting with Trump.”
Making New York City great again, ending the Ukraine-Russia war, securing a lasting peace in Southwest Asia and establishing a new economic development and security architecture as called for by Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche will not succeed just because well-intended people want it to happen.
The people of the global minority of the so-called West, must unite with the global majority of the South to uphold the universal principles expressed in the American Declaration of Independence. The first inviolable principle is that every human being is equal under God. Every single human being has an equal right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. How do we establish an order among nations which respects that principle?
One important part of that is physical economy. The massively over-inflated bubble of derivatives obligations held by the world’s largest banks is ready to implode or explode very soon. This rotten British liberal system cannot be saved. It must be reorganized according to Lyndon LaRouche’s Four Laws, the first of which is the reinstatement of the FDR-era Glass-Steagall Act.
On Monday, Nov. 24 at 8 p.m. ET, join the LaRouche Activists Zoom meeting for marching orders to get to every city council, state legislature, labor union, and civic organization on this urgent matter. We are the only ones with the economic program that can make everything else succeed.
