Are they more or less informed about government, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights? Do they grasp the principles of federalism and freedom better or worse than in 1948?
How has classroom behavior changed—are students more or less respectful toward teachers now? Are classrooms better or worse environments for learning today? Do teachers have more or less authority to maintain discipline compared to 1948? Can children still exercise freedom of religion and speech as they did in 1948?
