In this episode of RT’s ‘Sanchez Effect’,
Rick talks to Mustapha Barghouti, who is the leader of the Palestinian
National Initiative party based in Ramallah. The connection is poor due
to the Israeli restrictions placed on the West Bank. As Barghouti
explained himself, the 'military occupation' creates a 'prison like situation' for all Palestinians living there. The Palestinian politician describes the Israeli regime as 'apartheid', as
Israel can freely kill any Palestinian without any consequences.
Barghouti calls himself a man of peace who pushes for change through
reform, despite that he says he was wounded nine times by the IDF during
non-violent demonstrations. Nevertheless, he vows Palestinians won’t
yield and will keep fighting for a brighter future.
