Jim Caviezel played the part of Jesus in the film, The Passion. Based on that performance, and the Count of Monte Christo, he was chosen to play the part of Tim Ballard in the film `Sound of Freedom' The story goes that Jim appeared at a Freedom meeting in a local bar in the US and made a classic speech about the responsibility of freedom
Sound of Freedom was inspired by the work of Tim Ballard, the founder of Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.,) a non-profit started to stop child trafficking. Work on the script began in 2015.[2] He personally requested that Jim Caviezel portray him because he had been impressed with Caviezel's performance as Edmond Dantes in The Count of Monte Cristo (2002).[14][15] Caviezel said that he considers Sound of Freedom the second most important film he has ever appeared in, ranking it behind his starring role as Jesus Christ in The Passion of the Christ (2004).[16][15]
