Mark Rutte WARNS Europe as U.S. Makes Surprise Ukraine Move

Mark Rutte has delivered a speech to the members of the European Parliament in which he has addressed two main topics: European security and the war in Ukraine. He has urged the Europeans to send as many interceptors as they can to Ukraine, as this is now the priority. Also he told the Europeans that Europe cannot defend itself without the United States and Europe should build stronger ties with the US despite Trump. The Financial Times has reported that the US security guarantees for Ukraine are contingent upon Ukraine withdrawing from Donbas, including from areas which are not occupied by Russia. Hungary has announced that it will take legal action at the Court of Justice of the EU because of the law which bans Russian gas imports into Europe. Hungary’s FM Peter Szijjarto has stated that this goes against the EU rules and treaties.
