Trump Has Just Made Zelensky A Limited Time Offer
Politico has reported that the US has agreed to provide Ukraine with “Article 5 like guarantees” but it’s a limited time offer. According to Politico, Zelensky would have to accept the deal relatively quick. Also, Politico has quoted two anonymous US officials who have stated that they expect Russia will agree to this security guarantee in the end. Donald Trump has stated that the US is working on Ukraine’s security guarantees and Europe will play a big part in that. EU leaders and officials will meet in Brussels on the 18-19 December and hold strategic debates on how to support Ukraine further. Friedrich Merz has stated that the EU needs to make a decision or it will be severely damaged for years if the plan fails. Ukraine has reported that their forces have managed to strike a Russian submarine (Kilo class) while being stationed in the port of Novorossiysk, Russia.
